Meet Reuben D'Silva

Reuben knows the daily challenges Nevadans face because he has faced them himself in the past, and continues to do so today.

Reuben is a teacher in the Clark County School District. He has dedicated his life to helping those in need, uplifting his community, and serving others as a U.S. Marine, a dedicated public school teacher, community organizer, church volunteer, public awareness speaker, and a youth mentor.

He has held numerous public forums throughout the nation bringing awareness to social and economic justice issues, and facilitated public discourse and exchanges between prominent leaders and community members on local as well as global issues; all in the hopes of stirring people to think and act on the issues.

Reuben was born in Mumbai, India and immigrated to the United States as a toddler. He attended Rancho High School where he served as Senior Class President and graduated in 2003. He then attended the College of Southern Nevada (then Community College of Southern Nevada) and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. He later transferred to the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV).
